Yang Ming supports a healthy workplace environment by continually encouraging employees to develop regular exercise habits and fostering a culture of sports within the Company. By organizing internal and cross-industry sports events, Yang Ming aims to promote a sports culture for all. On May 18, the 2024 Yang Ming Table Tennis Friendship Tournament was held at ShuLin Sports Center in New Taipei City. The event invited 36 teams with nearly 500 players from various sectors, including public services, transportation, finance, electronics, and telecommunications…etc. Yang Ming was represented by Chairman Cheng Cheng-Mount and President Patrick Tu to lead the team and competed with others. The event brought together enthusiastic table tennis players,
the atmosphere was lively and exciting, creating a festive event!
Yang Ming has been actively promoting a sports culture, and received the Sports Enterprise Certification in 2021. The Company has established various internal sports clubs, including table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, yoga, aerobics, swimming, TRX, and ballet sculpting…etc., catering to employees' diverse needs. To create an environment that encourages regular exercise, Yang Ming covers the costs of professional trainers and sports activities, and holds regular competitions to further enhance the corporate sports atmosphere and foster employee unity.
Adhering to the principle of social co-prosperity, Yang Ming supports the government's policy of developing the sports industry. Since 2021, Yang Ming has provided fixed and long-term sponsorships to promising young professional athletes, enabling them to focus on their sports careers and achieve better competition results. During the Yang Ming Table Tennis Friendship Tournament, in addition to outstanding amateur players showcased their skills, Yang Ming's sponsored table tennis young athletes, Pu-Syuan Cheng, Jing-Kai Hung, Yu-An Chang, and Chin-Ting Lin performed exhibition matches, displaying top-notch skills. Notably, PuSyuan Cheng won the U19 Girls' Singles Championship at the WTT Youth Contender Puerto Princesa, Philippines this year, Jing-Kai
Hung claimed the U17 Boys' Singles title at the same event, Yu-An Chang consecutively won the U19 Boys' Singles titles at both the WTT Youth Contender Puerto Princesa, Philippines and Gangneung, Korea Republic, and the youngest, Chin-Ting Lin, won the U15 Mixed Doubles gold at the WTT Youth Contender Gangneung, Korea Republic. These outstanding achievements demonstrate that, in addition to the athletes' potential and efforts, corporate sponsorships help them focus on honing their skills and furthering their careers.
The 2024 Yang Ming Table Tennis Friendship Tournament was concluded successfully after intense competitions on the court. Yang Ming will continue to promote sports internally, encourage a culture of exercise among employees, support the development of excellent domestic athletes, and contribute to the growth of the sports industry.

The Yang Ming Cultural Foundation, National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), and Hon Hai Technology Group (Hon Hai) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the YM Oceanic Culture & Art Museum to jointly promote marine environmental protection and education.
