Winning the AEO award means YM , as a shipping company , has become a qualified partner of Customs and is able to take care of security in the supply chain of shipping service. Our efforts include increasing operational security with regard to vessels , terminals container yards and related facilities
Thereafter, we will consistently communicate with our business partners for co-operation on the security issues and make risk evaluation annually. We will strengthen our IT security. In order to meet the requirements of the AEO program, we will develop and maintain a complete and detailed security plan and act accordingly to reduce the risk of crew, cargo, as well as vessels.

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (YML) is pleased to announce that YML was approved by the U.S. Customs Service in 2003 as a certified member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
By joining this program, YML is determined to enhance the security of its supply chain process. Our efforts include increasing operational security for vessels, terminals, container yards and related facilities.
Furthermore, we will consistently communicate with our business partners for co-operation on security issues. In order to meet the requirements of the C-TPAT program, we will develop and maintain a complete and detailed security plan and act accordingly.
With YML’s participation as a C-TPAT certified carrier, our Customs will enjoy benefits of faster cargo flow, reduced inspection time and safer logistics process, all in a secured environment.

Vessel ISM Certificate
"International Safety Management Certification" (ISM code) provides the international standard Cs for safe operation management of ships and prevention of marine pollution, which was included in " International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea(SOLAS)" (A741C181) in 1994/5, and was approved and mandatory required from July, 1st 1998 .

International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC) - ISPS Code
Hereby we would like to announce that all self-owned vessels had been obtained an international ship security certificate (ISSC), and most of the certificates have been posted on Yang Ming website - www.yangming.com under “Security & Regulation” -> “Vessel ISM/ ISPS Certificate” effective from April 30, 2004.
