Participation in Public Associations and Nonprofit Organizations
In accordance with Article 10 of " Procedures for Ethical Management and Guidelines for Conduct of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation," the Company upholds political neutrality and does not make political donations to any political parties or individuals to avoid lobbying expenses or donations to other tax-exempt organizations from damaging the Company's reputation and generating corruption risks. The Company has joined public shipping associations, advocacy groups, and other nonprofit organizations that have influence on public policies on maritime shipping, formulation of industry carbon emissions methodologies, digital development, and maritime decarbonization technologies to exchange and develop low-carbon technologies with peers in the industry and value chain with a view to making a contribution and delivering benefits. In 2023, the Company invested about NT$33.86 million in organizational initiatives.
