Yang Ming Showcases Cold Chain Innovation  Promotes Transportation Services at Asia Fruit Logistica 2026

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (“Yang Ming”) continues to strengthen its cold chain transportation services and advance technological innovation. From September 2 to 4, 2026, Yang Ming will participate in Asia Fruit Logistica at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, where it will further engage with global fresh produce industry partners and stakeholders across the supply chain. This year, Yang Ming will highlight innovations in reefer technology and smart services, leveraging this annual industry event to deepen its presence in the fresh produce market and further enhance its cold chain transportation services.
Committed to its 'Fresh Forward' service philosophy, Yang Ming leverages IoT-enabled technology to provide real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, ventilation, and equipment status. With instant alerts for abnormal conditions, the system enhances shipment visibility and transport safety, enabling customers to stay informed of cargo conditions throughout the journey. In addition, Yang Ming is equipped with Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology reefers, which precisely regulate atmospheric conditions inside the container to slow the ripening process, helping fresh produce maintain its quality and freshness during long-distance transportation until it reaches consumers.
To enhance the quality and capacity of its cold chain services, Yang Ming continues its new eco-friendly smart reefer procurement program, with new reefer units delivered on a regular basis to provide customers with more reliable solutions. In addition to adopting precise temperature control and advanced preservation technologies, Yang Ming has implemented a multi-pronged sustainability strategy in response to global decarbonization trends and climate change. New reefer units are equipped with highly energy-efficient compressors to significantly reduce energy consumption. Meanwhile, selected reefer units use R-513A, a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant, to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental impact.
Looking ahead, Yang Ming will continue to advance its cold chain technologies and customer solutions, helping fresh produce from around the world maintain its quality and freshness throughout international transportation. The Company will also further expand the application of smart technologies to provide customers with more efficient, reliable, and sustainable cold chain transportation services.
