Yang Ming commemorated its 52nd anniversary on December 27, 2024, with a celebratory tea party and joint corporate exhibition at its headquarters in Qidu. Chairman Feng-Ming Tsai and President Cliff Pai jointly hosted the event, welcoming all employees to reflect on the company's significant achievements in 2024. The atmosphere was lively and warm, fostering a strong sense of pride among attendees.
During the event, Chairman Tsai expressed his gratitude to Yang Ming employees, both offshore and onboard, for their professionalism and dedication over the past year, which have laid a solid foundation for Yang Ming's sustainable operations. He reaffirmed Yang Ming's commitment to robust growth in container transportation as its core business. Looking ahead, Yang Ming aims to expand its target market and scale operations, striving to become customers' top choice of transportation service provider and play a crucial role in the shipping industry. Chairman Tsai also encouraged employees to maintain innovative mindsets, leverage digital tools, and uphold high service quality. He highlighted the importance of streamlining operations, enhancing safety, and implementing energy-saving and emission-reduction measures to realize Yang Ming's corporate vision.
In addition to the celebratory tea gathering, Yang Ming's anniversary event extended its long-standing commitment to social welfare and environmental sustainability by hosting a charity flea market at the headquarters' sports ground, featuring second-hand items donated by employees to support vulnerable groups. This year's (2024) flea market saw enthusiastic participation with employees voluntarily contributing over 2,500 items, embodying a spirit of resourcefulness and promoting sustainable reuse. The charity sale also welcomed six social welfare organizations, including the Taoyuan City Merry House Social Welfare Foundation, Genesis Social Welfare Foundation Taoyuan Branch, Victory Social Welfare Foundation - Victory Kitchen, Taipei Autism Children Social Welfare Foundation - iCan Lohas Workshop, Prader-Willi Syndrome Association Taiwan, and the Kanner Foundation of Taiwan, to set up booths. Through this event, employees were encouraged to make purchases and channel their collective goodwill, supporting these organizations to assist vulnerable communities.

“YM Willpower” Completes First LNG Bunkering in Singapore Advancing Energy Transition and Customer Decarbonization Services
Yang Ming continues to proactively advance its energy transition strategy in response to evolving international environmental regulations. In 2026, Yang Ming will progressively introduce newly built 15,500 TEU class container vessels primarily fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG) into its operating fleet. The lead vessel, YM Willpower, completed partial LNG bunkering at the shipyard prior to delivery and was officially deployed on February 8 into Yang Ming’s Far East–Mediterranean MD2 service. On February 26, through close collaboration with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and energy supplier Shell Eastern Trading (Pte) Ltd. (Shell), YM Willpower successfully bunkered around 3,500 metric tons of LNG in Singapore. The LNG supplied will serve as the vessel’s primary fuel for the entire voyage. This milestone signifies Yang Ming’s concrete progress in low-carbon transformation and the provision of emission-reduction solutions to customers, further demonstrating the Company’s firm commitment toward the gradual realization of net-zero emissions.

Guided by its commitment to sustainable operations and talent development, Yang Ming held a signing ceremony for a Maritime Personnel Talent Development Cooperation Agreement with National Dong Gang Senior High School of Marine Science and Aquaculture (hereinafter referred to as "Dong Gang Maritime") on January 21 at Yang Ming's Qidu Headquarters Building. The agreement was signed by Chairman Dr. Chuck F. M. Tsai on behalf of Yang Ming and Principal Hung Chia-Huang on behalf of Dong Gang Maritime.
