Yang Ming is committed to implementing digital transformation strategies, with the IT Department actively integrating efforts across various departments. In collaboration with the Marine and Engineering Departments, the IT team successfully developed the Vessel Big Data Dashboard (referred to as the Vessel Dashboard System). This project was submitted for the 2024 IT Matters Awards, overseen by the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Amid strong competition from 253 companies, Yang Ming stood out to win this prestigious award. On December 11, 2024, Senior Vice President Johnny Chang of the IT Department accepted the honor on behalf of the company.
Yang Ming Actively Expands Green Services First Foreign Carrier to Complete B30 VLSFO Bunkering at Busan Port
Yang Ming is advancing its sustainability efforts to meet the 2050 net-zero emissions target. Beginning this year, the Company has been gradually integrating biofuels into its fleet to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In December, Yang Ming became the first foreign carrier to bunker B30 very-low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO) at Busan Port, receiving 1,000 metric tons. This milestone underscores its commitment to emission reduction.

This year, the company was honored with the "Taiwan Top 100 Model Enterprises Award" for the third time in the Comprehensive Performance category and received the "Sustainability Report - Transportation Industry Category 1 Platinum Level" for the second time. The awards were accepted on December 11, 2024, by President Cliff K. R. Pai on behalf of the company.

Yang Ming's First Microfilm: The Pursuit of Nautical Dreams Wins "Sustainability Micro Movie of the Year"
Yang Ming is committed to implementing corporate sustainability initiatives and, for the first time, participated in the 8th Taipei Golden Eagle Micro-Movie Festival organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy with two works: the microfilm "The Pursuit of Nautical Dreams" and the corporate image film "YANG MING delivers Good for life." These two films stood out among 183 entries, winning the top awards for "Sustainability Micro Movie of the Year " and the "The Sustainability Micro Movie Bronze Award" respectively. On 9th August, Yang Ming's Chief Marine Technology Officer & Senior Vice President, James J.S. Jeng, attended the award ceremony on behalf of the company.
Yang Ming's YM Together Bunkers B30 HSFO Biofuel in South Korea
Starting this year, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) is beginning to fuel its fleet with sustainable biofuel. This initiative aims to implement the Company’s sustainable development strategy, achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and provide low-carbon transportation services to customers. YM Together, the 11,000-TEU container ship, recently became the first foreign-flagged vessel in South Korea to bunker biofuel, marking the Company’s steady progress in sustainable development and energy transition.
