Yang Ming Actively Expands Green Services First Foreign Carrier to Complete B30 VLSFO Bunkering at Busan Port
Yang Ming is advancing its sustainability efforts to meet the 2050 net-zero emissions target. Beginning this year, the Company has been gradually integrating biofuels into its fleet to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In December, Yang Ming became the first foreign carrier to bunker B30 very-low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO) at Busan Port, receiving 1,000 metric tons. Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), for the fourth consecutive year. With annual achievements in sustainability and transparent disclosures in its sustainability reports consistently earning accolades, Yang Ming achieved remarkable recognition in 2024. This year, the company was honored with the "Taiwan Top 100 Model Enterprises Award" for the third time in the Comprehensive Performance category and received the "Sustainability Report - Transportation Industry Category 1 Platinum Level" for the second time. The awards were accepted on December 11, 2024, by President Cliff K. R. Pai on behalf of the company.
