Human Rights Due Diligence
The Company values human rights issues. In 2023, it first introduced the concept of human rights due diligence, initially summarizing human rights issues within its operational scope by analyzing international human rights issue trends, interviewing internal supervisors, and reviewing internal labor-related documents. In 2024, a human rights due diligence project was conducted to gradually expand and implement the depth and breadth of human rights management. The project is divided into three phases, with each phase conducting due diligence on different subjects:
- Phase 1: Human rights due diligence for employees within own operational scope (including onshore employees and seafarers), with survey results showing low risk for women, children, migrant workers, etc.
- Phase 2: Human rights due diligence for suppliers
- Phase 3: Human rights due diligence for joint ventures and/or other stakeholders
